Learning to Nordic Walk with Nordic Walking Cymru
Nordic walking can be learnt at a number of levels, depending upon your general health and fitness and what you want to achieve.
Nordic Walking for Health is the first level. This develops general mobility and increased cardio vascular capacity, whilst walking at a relaxed social pace.
Nordic walking for Fitness involves refining your technique to Nordic walk more efficiently enabling you to gain the maximum health and fitness benefits.
Taster sessions
In the one hour taster session you are taught the basic Nordic Walking technique which will get you up to a "Walking for Health" level. Taster sessions can be organised in the Elan Valley, or near your venue, including lunchtime sessions for businesses wanting to support the health and wellbeing of their staff.
Courses
The course will build up from a "Walking for Health" level on to a "Walking for Fitness" level. Courses are usually made up of six sessions lasting one and a half hours each. These are held once a week at different local venues to give you a chance to experience a variety of walking terrains and improve on your walking technique.
